1.3 Information Processed by the ReMynd App
ReMynd is designed with a local-first architecture, meaning your notes, memories, transcriptions, and other personal content are stored and processed locally on your device unless you choose otherwise. We do not collect or view this information.
If you enable optional cloud sync, your data will be encrypted in the cloud storage.
1.4 Information Sent to External AI Models
Some features, such as Ask, summarization, search enhancement, or advanced reasoning, may require sending only the specific text you choose to third-party large language models ("LLMs"), including:
- OpenAI
- Anthropic
- Google Gemini
To protect your privacy:
- Only the minimum data needed to fulfill your request is sent
- Your full memory database, call logs, or history are never sent
- All transmissions are encrypted
- Providers are contractually restricted from training on your data
- You may choose not to use AI-powered features that require external processing
Optional Local LLM Processing
You may choose to connect to a local LLM (via LM Studio). When using this option:
- All AI processing occurs entirely on your own device
- No data is transmitted to ReMynd or any external model provider
- You are solely responsible for configuring, securing, and maintaining your local LLM environment
- ReMynd does not access, collect, store, or process any data sent to or generated by your local model
- Your use of LM Studio or any other third-party local model is governed by their respective terms.
2. How Do We Process Your Information?
In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, including:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts
- To save or protect an individual's vital interest

- When you use AI-powered features that require external processing (e.g., Ask or summarization), we may share only the relevant text with third-party LLM providers to fulfill your request.
We do not sell your personal information.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. Specific information about how we use such technologies and how you can refuse certain cookies is set out in our Cookie Notice.

In Short: If you choose to register or log in to our Services using a social media account, we may have access to certain information about you.
Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your third-party social media account details. Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider.

At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes.
